The Innovative Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

By Steve Collins

The production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs began sometime in early 1934. This was Walt Disney's first crack at producing an animated film. To this point, Disney had effectively drawn a series of animated shorts entitled The Alice Comedies as well as Mickey Mouse and Silly Symphonies.

This was a gamble for Disney as no one had ever tried such a feat. He had estimated the cost of production at a staggering $250,000. This was approximately ten times the cost of an average animated short. Indeed, Disney had to mortgage his home, while knocking on every studio door in Hollywood. When all was said and done, by 1937, Disney had managed to raise the massive sum of $1.5 million! The production spanned three years, wherein Disney pioneered many techniques that would come to be industry standards. Among these techniques was the use of rotoscope animation, which allowed live-action actors to be overlaid with animation cells, creating the impression of realistic movement. Additionally, Disney pioneered stunning effects animation and the use of the multi-plane camera, which allowed him to make and capture groundbreaking three-dimensional scenes.

When it came to the dwarves, Disney had always planned to have Grumpy. He asked his animators to pool together about fifty different names and personalities for the dwarves. Among the abandoned names were such standouts as Blabby, Shifty, Awful, Biggy, Burpy, Cranky, Daffy, Dippy, Helpful, Lazy, Puffy, Scrappy, Silly, Sleazy, Tearful, Tipsy, Tubby, Weepy, and Woeful. The seven that were finally decided upon, were, of course, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy, Dopey, and Doc.

Besides the animation and loveable characters, it was the music of Snow White that enthralled the audience. The music was composed by Frank Churchill, Larry Morey, and Paul J. Smith and included such classics as "Heigh-Ho," "Some Day My Prince Will Come," and "Whistle While You Work." The soundtrack was in such demand, that it was released along with the theatrical release. Indeed, Snow White is the first film in history to have a separate soundtrack released. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs made its premiere at the Carthay Circle Theater in Los Angeles on December 21, 1937. The premiere was met with a standing ovation from such well-heeled luminaries as Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Judy Garland, Carole Lombard, John Barrymore, and Marlene Dietrich. It was hailed as a daring new step in not only animation, but filmmaking in general. It was the top grossing film of 1938. In fact, it is still one of the highest grossing films in history, adjusting for inflation. It was a resounding victory for Walt Disney, both creatively and monetarily. The proceeds from Snow White would see Disney Studios relocate from Silver Lake, a suburb of Los Angeles to Burbank. Moreover, it would deservingly earn Disney an honorary Academy Award for "significant screen innovation."

When Should a Celebrity Reveal a Major Illness?

By Jeannie Giordano

Georgia Frontiere, the Rams owner, who died at 80 of breast cancer, is a recent example. According to her wishes, her illness was kept a secret by family members and team officials.

Having to worry about the extra attention and unwanted press this kind of news can bring is undesirable, especially while battling disease. Making the decision to reveal an illness can leave one feeling scared and vulnerable.

Choosing not to reveal a major illness might seem like the obvious choice for a public figure faced with this decision. Besides the unwanted press, there are other reasons a celebrity might choose not to reveal their illness.

Most people, celebrities included, want to be remembered for their work, not their disease. Also, going public with a disease can effectively end their career, so many choose to keep their battles private.

Great goodness can come from revealing a major illness, despite the difficulties in doing so.

Speaking about the disease publicly can help raise awareness for it, and also help to encourage those at risk to get screened.

One well-known sports figure, Lance Armstrong who just won his 7th Tour de France race, revealed having testicular cancer, even while his cancer had spread to his brain and lungs.

Why do some celebrities choose to reveal their illnesses? I believe it's because the act of revealing is purifying and restorative. The end-result is often clarity and a new purpose.

The Things You Need To Know About Tattoos

By James Beckett

A tattoo is a change to your body that lasts for life so knowing the good and bad about this decision is important. And by asking the right questions before you get started, you will be happier with your tattoo when the procedure is finished. So it's a good step for us to discuss the basic things to think about before you go to an expert tattoo artist.

You don't want to take up too much of the tat designer's time, so make sure that you enter the shop equipped with a drawing of what you want your tattoo pattern to look like. Most folks are looking to obtain a tattoo for sentimental reasons. For example, they may want to tattoo the name of their kids on their body eternally.

The artist doesn't care what the design is so if you want something artistic or fun such as a horse or a sunburst, that's fine. But knowing what you want helps a lot so you can be ready to hand the design to the artist who will do your tattoo. Don't plan to just describe it because these artists don't like to work that way. Bring the pattern with you.

Along with the pattern think about what colors to include with your tattoo. Your own natural skin shade may make a difference. If you are really pale, white may not be a good tattoo tint for you. This is where the expertise of the tattoo artist can be helpful to make adjustments so the tattoo looks great on you.

It may go without saying that a huge decision to make is where on your body to have the tattoo placed. A tattoo that you are getting to show off to everyone can go on your hand, ankle or even neck or face. But if it is a tattoo you are getting just for your own pleasure or part of a private language with someone special, placing it on your upper leg or somewhere else that is usually covered is a good choice.

But keep in mind that a tattoo is a permanent change to your look so decades from now, it will still be there. Down the road you may not be comfortable with "I Love Susie" tattooed on your neck when you are married to Joan or when it is visible at your place of work.

Last of all, you are going to find a tattoo parlor. The best way to make this conclusion is based on personal recommendations from people who have had tattoos in the past. Individuals who have been through the tattoo process will be best able to advise you on how clean a certain tattoo parlor is, whether their body art got infected later, and who was the best artist in any given location.

After you have collected all the information and become an intelligent tattoo consumer, promise yourself you will think about it for a day or two before making this big step. Getting a tattoo has no place as part of a prank, to fulfill a dare or as part of a drunken spree on the town. That tattoo will be on your body forever so be sober and smart about who, what, when, where and why you get a tattoo.

iPod Music Downloads - Be Careful of Scammers!

By Davion Wong

There are numerous alternatives for anyone looking for iPod music downloads online. Among them, the majority are legitimate and reliable sites while a handful of them are outright scams. These are predators that prey on the uninitiated folks who are not aware of that when searching for iPod music downloads.

Any user with more or less common sense understands that free iPod music websites can potentially be dangerous, and it is stupid to expect super-service and full protection without paying a penny. You know that if your computer gets a virus, or the song you downloaded is of lousy quality, the fault is basically yours for not caring enough when choosing the website for iPod music downloads.

But the story is different if you are paying for your music. Membership services for unlimited iPod music downloads are built with the intention of providing huge databases of media files in a safe and secured download environment. Unfortunately, not all are great and known for reliability. While most paid sites are well run, several of them are plain scams.

One example is sites that make false claims of containing unlimited number of iPod music downloads of many genres. But in actual fact, you are only getting a couple of thousands of media files and the variety of music genres is not as many as what the site claims.

Several of these sites have been blacklisted for not delivering their promise. Instead of providing you with millions of files to download, you pay $40 for only a few thousand iPod music downloads. And from there, you are left hanging alone.

Other possible scams include low quality and poor selection of songs (though advertised as the next best thing), charging your credit card and disappearing forever with no downloads available in reality, and poor maintained websites with no money back guarantee. Some scammers make you pay for p2p share software that is actually available for free. The list of possible scam variants is frightfully long.

While these scam sites are a minority, you never know when you meet one. So it pays to do some research and reading up before you sign up with any. Spend an evening reading up independent reviews on membership sites offering iPod music downloads.

Pop over to my entertainment blog today and read a full report on the favorite sites for iPod music downloads users are raving about when it comes to delivering excellent service and reasonable prices.

Sleeping Beauty - Arguably Disney's Finest Work

By Steve Collins

Sleeping Beauty was the sixteenth film in Walt Disney's body of work, following Lady and The Tramp and preceding One Hundred and One Dalmatians. It was the last feature to be based upon a fairy tale, authored by Charles Perrault. Indeed, Disney Studios would not return to a fairy tale again until the 1989 production of The Little Mermaid. Moreover, this was the last feature to showcase hand-inked cells.

The film was controlled by Walt Disney himself, though he charged the direction of the feature to his trusted animators Les Clark, Eric Larson, and Wolfgang Reitherman. The three animators, as well as six other colleagues, were known jointly as "The Nine Old Men." The Nine Old Men were the key animators who had worked with Walt beginning with Snow White and ending with The Rescuers. The film's score was performed by the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, based on the 1890 Sleeping Beauty ballet composed by Pytor Tchaikovsky. Production of Sleeping Beauty stretched nearly the entire decade of the 1950s. According to Wikipedia, the story was rewritten throughout 1951, the actor's voices were recorded in 1952, the actual animation spanned from 1953 to 1958, and the stereophonic score was recorded in 1957. Walt Disney wanted the look of the film to mimic medieval art. This marked a decided break from the characteristically rounded and fluid animation style Disney had become famous for. Since the feature would be screened via the Super Technirama 70 format, Disney was keen on making Sleeping Beauty as complex and detailed as possible. The Super Technirama 70 format was a process that optically enlarged 35mm film stock to a 70mm print. The Black Cauldron is the only other Disney film to have been presented Super Technirama 70.

Disney charged Eyvind Earle, a background painter and artist, with the production design of the film. Earle was given a great deal of freedom to push the boundaries. His lavish backgrounds often took seven to ten days to paint, whereas an average background painting took only one day to prepare. Earle's artistic latitude was not popular among the animators as they had previously enjoyed a great deal of participation with regards to their respective characters and background settings. Disney's belief in Earle was directly related to his winning an Academy Award for a Disney released short in 1953 entitled Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom. Following its release, Sleeping Beauty only earned half of its $6 million budget. This shortfall nearly bankrupted the Disney studio. The film was initially criticized for its pacing and alleged shallow character development. Many felt the radical new look alienated a number of Disney fans. It has subsequently come to be considered a classic, most notably for its lush backgrounds, widescreen format, and stirring soundtrack.

Offbeat Cartoonist's Life Saved Two Times By Smart Dogs

By Rick London

In the mid-90's I was still relatively new to southern California. I had sold my bustling bus tour business in Washington D.C and moved to Los Angeles to try my hand at screen-writing. Not much was shaking for me for the first few years. Except the ground. I settled in Sherman Oaks in the San Fernando Valley area. I can clearly remember being awakened about five a.m by my golden retriever puppy Otis who was barking wildly. Otis slept on the bed with me but he had hopped down onto the floor to begin his ranting. This was no ordinary bark but I took him outside anyway into the back yard which met an alley. Otis kept barking and was clearly agitated but did not relieve himself. I rubbed my eyes and looked around and there was dozens (if not more) cats walking around in circles in the alley. I had never seen this before. They were clearly not acting the way I normally see cats behave, but it was as if they were trying to escape something. Otis contined his whining nonstop.

The next thing I knew I was thrown to the ground which was rumbling. It felt as if I was in the center of a volcano minus the heat. Then I heard loud crashing sounds. My home and a few others on the block had caved in. Part of the roof was at ground level and the rest was hanging in various places. It no longer resembled a roof, and shingles were strewn everywhere. The wall had caved in where my bedroom used to be and a giant ceiling beam lay across the bed where I had just been sleeping not more than 10 minutes earlier. The ground continued to shake and more structures were falling apart. Otis had quit barking but the cats continued in their circle.

I was unable to get inside of my home for a few days. The ground continued to shake on and off for another few weeks. I had lost everything. I was ok about the furniture, as those things can be replaced, but family albums, memorabilia that dated back to kindergarten, childhood videos, college and travel collectibles were never to be found again. So I rented an apartment, which was not easy, as they were being filled rapidly. The apartment would not allow animals, so first I had to find a good home for the dog who had just saved my life. Fortunately, from an emotional standpoint, as much as I hated to lose this wonderful animal, he was not one with which I had a lot of memories, since I was away from home so often and he was still a puppy.

I called the insurance company but the wait would be long. Then my mother called from Mississippi to alert me she had contracted an incurable form of cancer. She needed me there. I left, and did not resolve any of my valuables. But I will always remember the beautiful blond golden retriever puppy who saved my life, sensed the coming danger, and alerted me. I would definitely not be here writing had it not been for Otis.

Being back home in southern Mississippi after being gone for so long was hard on me. I had worked around the country and was very different from my childhood friends who had never left home. It proved difficult to form friendship bonds because of lack of similar interests, hence not a lot of conversation. So I focused on taking care of mom and a sales job I took at a local television station.

Sadly Mom died in 1996. I was devastated and was becoming very depressed. Some college friends from near Boston, in Newburyport on Cape Cod, invited me to stay with them for a week. I did. They kept me my spirits up with movies, dinners etc. One of the movies was with Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt "As Good As It Gets" in which a dried-up, crusty writer (played by Nicholson) has his life changed by taking care of a neighbor's (Greg Kinnear's) dog, learning unconditional love.

After the movie, I realized that the character played by Nicholson could have easily been me. I had been a writer most of my life, (as far back as fourth grade, writing everything from sit-coms to movies, to short stories to, finally cartoons. I had wanted to start an offbeat cartoon project similar to The Far Side, but was too drained and depressed to launch it, plus, I was too depressed to work, and just sat at home for months and watched the news (which led to more depression).

To get back on my feet, I began volunteering at the local university equestrian center, cleaning out barns and feeding horses. One very stormy day, with tornadoes in the vicinity, a pack of three dogs showed up. I fell in love with one immediately, who looked just like Benji, but he was a bit scared of people. He obviously had been abused and/or hit by a vehicle and his hair was one big mat. His coloration was superb, and his soulful eyes showed he wanted love, and had a lot to give. They begged for help. I could tell this one was a survivor. We left food and water out for him every night since he did not want human interaction, and he would eat and drink a little and slept in the barn with the horses. Whenever it thundered, which was often, Thor barked. That is how he got his name.

My friend the vet took Thor home to help him recover, and promised she would do the job if I would adopt him, afterwards, otherwise, he was ready to be put down. I was not in a good space, I felt, to take care of an animal, but I agreed. Little did I know that one day, that animal would take care of me. She shaved his mats, put him on drips, and cared for him in her home night after night. Thor was indeed a survivor, a new dog when she finished with him.

Almost a month later, he was socialized, loved to be petted, ride in the car, go everywhere with me, lay by my side, and even sleep in my bed. He was housebroken. Though still scared of thunder and loud noises, it wasn't long before I realized this was not just a pet, but a gift from God. He knew my every mood. I was working from home, and like magic, creating my cartoons after four years of no creativity.

For the longest while, I could not see the connection between pet care and increased creativity. Finally it started to all make sense. He not only loved me, but his playful antics made me hysterical with laughter. It was as if he knew he was doing them, simply to put me in a good mood.

This dog rarely left my side. If I called his name, he would wag his tail, come over to me, I would lean down, and he would kiss my face and keep smiling. The look seemed to say, "Keep doing what you are doing Rick, one day you will see. Good things will happen for you." I felt this was all my imagination, but I continued my daily rituals with Thor. He could be very playful and manipulative. When he was in the mood to play, he would let me know that just a kiss was not enough. He wanted me on the floor with him to play, roll around with him, or play with any of his favorite toys. I always obliged. Oddly enough, the longer I had Thor, the more I created. And the more I created, the more I sold.

Time flew with Thor, months, and finally the years, I noticed my cartoon venture had grown rather large. Out of the blue, emails were coming in asking me for my autograph. "Why?, I thought. What have I done?" Thor continued to smile as if he knew. It was what he had done. He was slowly helping me regain my creativity and spirit by offering me something I had never had...unconditional love. When my mood was down, he automatically came to me full of kisses, and would jump on the bed and sleep with me, right by my head on my pillow if I really felt bad. He knew when I felt good, his smile would return and he would lead me to my computer, as if he knew, that was where I was going to make a name for myself.

The vet estimated Thor was about eight years (by his teeth) when entered my life. Four years later, he developed some sort of disease that made him act catatonic and simply stare at walls. He would not even respond to his name or eat much. I rushed him to the vet who made an immediate diagnosis: "juvenile seizures" and that he would have to be put on barbiturates daily (and other medicines) and would live a short, and not a very good quality of life, and to prepare to put him down soon. I had been feeding him the highest grade dog food.

I immediately got on the Internet and started researching. I finally found a controversial veterinarian surgeon/author n in Australia named Dr. Ian Billinghurst, who had written several books on what is known as the b.a.r.f diet (bones and raw foods) and I researched more about it. There was not much science behind it, but the theory made good sense, in that a dog's digestive system had not evolved that much from when they were still wolves, just as a cat's had not since they were lions (the diet allegedly works for both). This would be the first time I had ever tried something so dramatic with no science behind it. The first month was terrible. Though Thor devoured the food, his elimination was very discolored, a lot of diarrhea and vomiting, and lethargy.

Suddenly, within a month, everything changed. He had jumped on the bed next to me. He was ready to play and play a lot. We played for hours on the floor. He was not only his old self again, he was a brand new dog. His elimination was working properly again. He quit vomiting. When he was ready to eat, he led me to the fridge. He ate only raw fruits, vegetables, meat and bones. He was now turning 13 and walking five miles a day with me. His stools were small and hard as a rock and had no odor at all. This would continue until he was eighteen, and it would be done so without one illness nor vet bill. I stopped his vaccinations, and started giving him homeopathic nosodes and for heart worm protection, walnut hull tinctures. He thrived. He remained the happiest, healthiest most energetic dog I had ever owned, much less seen in my life He was so special that shop owners came outside just to talk to "Thor" when I took him on his long walks. They simply could not believe a dog that old could walk so far, without being out of breath, and was so kind to everyone. They found it difficult to believe that when I found him, he had a severe fear of people.

Thor continued to prod me to work hard. He even stood by me through 3.5 years of college. I went back (online) at age 45 after a major heart attack. Friends who kept him for me when I was in the hospital told me he simply laid in the corner with his head on his front paws. He was almost totally inactive except to go outside to do his business. When I came home, he was happy again, but actually sensed I was unable for awhile to get on the floor to play so he jumped up on the bed to be with me while I recovered. Never bothering me if I was too tired, but just being there for me.

Now Thor was twenty years old, having lived at least three times longer than any other dog I'd ever owned, but he started developing minor heart problems so I put him on some special herbs that I also took and still take, including samento (a strong form of cat's claw herb), cayenne, hawthorn berry, and several others. This kept his disease at bay, but he was beginning to be unable to take the long walks. Finally, about a year later, it reached another stage which was more serious. I finally had to take him to the vet and put him on heart meds. I knew this would eventually affect his liver and kidneys, but at least he stood a chance before that happened. He lived almost another year. Thor finally passed away on the floor, in my arms. He was about twenty two years old. He died in my arms on the floor. I cried all day that day and the next.

The vet said not to put Thor down, he still had a chance, and sent me home after giving me morphine to administer to him every four hours. I lay on the floor with him as he could no longer jump on the bed. I set the alarm clock for every four hours, and put the pill down Thor's throat. He showed no signs of pain, and the vet advised me what he had was not painful; that heart ailments and such do not manifest in animals the way they do humans; they simply grow tired and numb; and, to be sure, the morphine would prevent any pain in case the liver had damage.

I finally agreed with the vet. He had been given death sentences before and made it anyway. This dog was a survivor and as long as there was no pain, I had to give it one last try. The vet assured me he would not be in any pain.

I put the morphine pills down Thor's throat every four hours around the clock and stayed on the floor right by his side stroking his back which he seemed to appreciate I fell asleep about 3am the next morning after giving him, what would be his last dose. When I woke up, Thor was not breathing, yet he still had a smile on his face. I could feel the tears building in my eyes. "I kissed him, and told him I loved him very much, and how much he had done for me." The dog that a vet begged to rescue, rescued me and taught me an unconditional love I'd never experienced elsewhere. I have been able to "pass it forward" and I always give Thor credit. I do believe that is why God invented dogs, especially dogs that need to be rescued, because the big surprise is, they rescue us too.

I wrapped him in a blanket and had built a small coffin out of a wooden box. I dug a hole on a mountain in the backyard of my building in Hot Springs, Ar where Thor's body lay today. This was his favorite place to go hiking with me. There, he chased squirrels, possums, armadillos, barked at soaring eagles, and ran around sniffing all the scents that nature has to offer.

I had a tombstone there and wrote the epitaph, "Here lay Thor, the best dog on the planet who brought me and so many others so much joy. May he rest in peace".

Several months before Thor died, I was in a relationship with a sweet woman named "Rosy" who had a fear of dogs due to having been attacked by one in her youth. I had talked about "Thor" to her. She lived far away, but we visited often. She came one day, and met Thor (when he was about twenty one) and he loved her immediately, rubbing against her leg, demanding to be petted by her. This only surprised me a little, as I know that dogs have a 6th sense of person's fear and sometimes bark or attack. But she was not scared of Thor in the least and bent down and hugged and petted him. They were immediate friends. This was a good sign, as, though Thor loved almost everyone, if someone came even close to me that he did not have a good feeling about, he would bark nonstop. I believe Thor sensed that Rosy knew how to practice unconditional love, felt it, and responded to it accordingly. The two became close friends fast. It was the first time she even came near a dog in her adult life, much less hugged and played with it. I saw magic happen.

In retrospect, all the stress and the strain of the care-taking phase was rewarding. I was able to do everything I could for both the person who gave me life (my mom) and the dog who eventually taught me how to live and give unconditional love. If it can happen to me, and can happen to Jack Nicholson's character, it can happen to anyone.

Music is an Instrument to Calm the Mind

By Ozzie Wells

Music's healing effects have been known to humans for hundreds of years. People practice music for different purposes. For some it is a mere hobby or a means to spend free time, and for others its more serious and practice it in a professional manner.

Music has no limits. It can be learned by people without limitation. The only thing here is that the person must show curiosity to learn and be devoted to practice on a regular basis. If we consider years past, the number of musical instruments did match what is available today. The range of musical instruments accessible has been increasing day after day. Before setting off to buy musical instruments there are some basic items which you need to heed.

Once you have found a few sounds that please you, see if you can experiment. If you have a friend who plays an instrument, ask them if you can try it. They may not want to let you put your mouth on their mouthpiece, but you can at least hold the instrument and feel how it feels in your hand.

Also, if you are looking for an instrument for your child, their school orchestra teacher will most likely have some student models they can try. Some music stores may be willing to let you try an instrument. Keep in mind that you will not play a symphony on the first try, but you do want to have an instrument that feels somewhat comfortable in your hands. When looking at an instrument, there are some physical capabilities you need to consider.

For example, if you possess tiny hands, you may own trouble reaching some chords to play the piano. The trombone requires relatively long arms, and a child that is younger than fifth grade is probably too small for it. Kids with braces will control a difficult time commencement a brass sax, as the pressure on their teeth will be painful. Think about the size of the arms, hand, and mouth of the person you are choosing and musical instrument for, and try not to force them into something that is too big or small for their develop.

Hundreds of guitar shops and music stores abound on the Internet. Many of them operate as a music store in a specific area and are also offering their products online. However, there are also several music shops that only operate through the World Wide Web. These music retailers, since they solely rely on the Internet for their business, are somewhat more experienced in buying and selling online, so you can expect that your deals and purchases will be smoother and less likely to be stressful.

Playing music is a fantastic joy that provides pleasures untold. It is never too late to take it up, and oh how rewarding it can be.

The Save Mart Center Arena: The construction of this luxurious, state of the art event arena broke ground in 2001; the final completion was accomplished in late 2003. The center comprises three levels, consisting of thirty-two luxury suites, eight party suites, and general seating capacity of about 17,000.

The thirteen-story clock tower was constructed in honor of Larry Shehadey, who made a personal donation of three million dollars, toward the funding of the arena. Other donations that helped finance the center were gifted from the Save Mart grocery store chain, and other private organizations and individuals, as well as the Bulldog Foundation.

The Bulldog Walkway is a lasting memorial tribute honoring the memories of past students, friends, and athletes that have graced California State University, and Fresno State with their thoughts and actions. Eventually, the walkway tiles will extend all through the campus.

The largest bronze Bulldog in the world rests his proud head in the Shehadey Lobby. He stands ten feet high, is nine feet long, seven feet wide, and weighs in at 4,200 pounds. 6 Things You Should Know To Learn Mentalism

By Bradlee Carter

I absolutely love magic! It's so mind-boggling and fun to watch. I've enjoyed magic for almost 13 years and still can't get enough. One area of magic that I find very interesting is mentalism. The idea of being able to read minds and do mind control tricks has always fascinated me. In this article, I'm going to talk about 6 points that will help you to learn mentalism for the aspiring magician.

1. First of all, what is mentalism? Mentalism is a performing art that is different to magic in a way that it fools the mind of your spectator through mind reading, precognition, clairvoyance or mind control. If you're looking to learn magic, mentalism is a great place to start because of the fact that you can start with simple tricks that can be done in common places. Once you learn mentalism at the basic level, you can learn advanced techniques that require memorization and the reading of body language.

2. Presentation is VERY important when performing mentalism. Mentalism is all about mind control and mind reading so you have to play the part that you can actually read their mind. So you can imagine that you're going to have to have a bit of fluff built into your conversations with your spectators. If you watch the presentations of popular magicians, you will notice that they have a particular way of talking and presenting that makes their tricks very believable.

3. Persuasion is key to having a great performance. When you start to learn mentalism, your communication skills have to be persuasive. The reason why is because some tricks are very simple to do, but require you to persuade the spectator to think a certain way. When you prep your spectator with persuasive talk, your magic trick delivery will be absolutely spectacular.

4. Misdirection and concealment is also a very important part of mentalist magic. When you understand how to draw attention and focus to specific areas of your performance, you can easily perform tricks that require tricky movements and slight-of-hand. One magic trick that uses this well is being able to remove someone's watch while doing a card trick. Even the spectators around the person won't even notice!

5. Mind reading is the most popular part of mentalism. This is what makes mentalism so unique is it's ability to read minds. When you start to learn mentalism, you will most likely start with tricks that require mind reading. There are several easy tricks to get started with that you can do immediately. These easy tricks will help you to focus on your presentation and persuasion rather than the trick. Mastering mind reading is probably the most important part about becoming a mentalist.

6. Card tricks. Mixing up your routine with card tricks is highly recommended when performing mentalism. A deck of cards add to the "randomness" of being able to read minds. Card tricks are nice because spectators are familiar with it, but can still be amazed which will help prepare them for other parts of your presentation.

These are 6 things you should know when you learn mentalism. My advice to you is that you watch the great mentalists like Criss Angel, Derren Brown and David Blaine. Observe their presentation and incorporate it into your performance. Start learning about mentalism by reading lots of books and constantly practicing new tricks.

Pinocchio is the Best Hand-drawn, Pre-computer Disney animation.

By Steve Collins

Pinocchio, the character, was created by Carlo Collodi in 1883. The darling boy made from a block of wood by Geppetto the woodcarver was first introduced in the tale The Adventures of Pinocchio. Collodi was very keen on using a impish, sarcastic character to explore his own personal convictions and cultural and political critiques. As late as 1938, this was how Walt Disney had characterized the much beloved wooden puppet who wanted to be a real boy.

Disney, feeling that this interpretation of Pinocchio may not be well received across the board, stopped production on his second animated film. He asked for a total rethinking of the character, including how he would move, dress, and look. Initially, Pinocchio looked exactly like a puppet, with a pointed nose, pointed cap, and bare wooden hands. The new drawing of Pinocchio included a rounded face, gloved five-fingered hands, and the trademark Tyrolean hat. Moreover, Disney did way with his original scorn and world-weariness and instead opted to make Pinocchio Significantly more nave and childlike.

Likewise, the part of the cricket was rethought and extended from Collodi's original notion. Not initially in the film production, the cricket was given a considerable part and re-named Jiminy Cricket. He would come to be the voice of Pinocchio's ethics. Ward Kimball, one of Disney's best animators, reworked the character to look like the dapper gentleman we are familiar with today. He was unforgettably voiced by Cliff "Ukulele Ike" Edwards, the popular jazz vocalist and ukulele player.

Gideon the Cat was cast to be voiced by Mel Blanc, the famous voice of Bugs Bunny. Disney decided, however, to make Gideon mute, giving Foulfellow the Fox the majority of the dialogue. All of Blanc's recorded dialogue, according to Wikipedia, was removed except for a solitary hiccup we hear three times throughout the film. When Pinocchio was screened in February of 1940, it was successful, but not as successful as Snow White. The total cost of the production was approximately $2.3 million, about twice as much as Snow White, yet it only recouped $1.9 million. The box office totals were hindered by the outbreak of World War II in Europe. Moreover, the film lacked a romantic element that had made Snow White so popular. Despite all these obstacles, Pinocchio was a considerable success, including the song "When You Wish Upon A Star," which would go on to be incorporated into Disney's cherished fanfare. The song went on to win the Academy Award for Best Song. In 1994, Pinocchio was added to the National Film Registry for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." It is considered to be the best example of hand-drawn, pre-computer-aided Disney animation.

Improve Your Website In 5 Steps

By James Youngblood

Every website should be designed to achieve a basic goal. If you follow a few easy rules, you will increase the changes of achieving that goal.

1)Splash pages should not be used

Splash pages are often the first pages you see when you arrive at a website. They may have a very beautiful image with words like "welcome" or "click here to enter". Do not give your visitors a reason to immediately click on the "back" button! Show them the value of your site up front without the splash page.

2) Banners advertisements should be limited

The decision to seek more information about a topic should be the reader's. You can help them make the 'right' decision by placing strategically worded links in the body of your articles.

3) Your menu system should be easy to use

Make it easy for your visitors to move from page to page on your site. Do not use complicated or hard to understand menu systems. Readers have little patience if they get lost and will quickly leave your site.

4) Let your visitor know where they are

A visitor that gets lost is a lost visitor! Make sure it is easy for them to remain oriented on your site so they don't rush to the exit. They want your information but don't want to hunt for it.

5) Audio and video should be used cautiously

Use sound carefully. Tastes vary, and you need to make sure not to annoy your potential customers with unwanted audio. If you believe audio will improve your site by all means use it but provide some easy to find control over it -- volume or muting controls. Nothing makes me hit the exit button faster than sound blasting at me when a page loads! Videos usually have to be started by the viewer. You may want to use the same technique with sound.

How Disney's Cinderella Changed 20th Century Animation

By Steve Collins

Cinderella, the twelfth feature released by Walt Disney, was the first full-length feature since Disney released Bambi in 1942. The Second World War and a series of disappointing box office returns made the prospect of a full-length feature problematic. Indeed, most critics consider Cinderella a pivot point between the classic Disney animation of the 1930s and 40s and the new animation of the 1950s and 60s.

To reduce the cost of production, Disney commissioned the use of extensive rotoscoping. Rotoscoping is a technique involving the animation of live-action film. Indeed, approximately 90% of Cinderella was initially shot as a live-action film. Two actresses were hired as a frame of reference for Cinderella, namely Helene Stanely and Ilene Woods. These actresses heavily influenced Cinderella's mannerisms and inflections. Point of fact, Helene Stanley was also used to play both Sleeping Beauty and Anita Radcliff in One Hundred and One Dalmatians. Prince Charming, on the other hand, was modeled by William Phipps.

The basic story was adapted from the fairy tale written by the French author Charles Perrault (1628-1703). Perrault authored a series of fairy tales that have become part of our collective Western culture, namely Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Puss In Boots, and Bluebeard. Disney would later create an animated feature based on Sleeping Beauty in 1959. Interestingly, Disney had used Cinderella 30 years prior in an animated short series called Laugh-O-Gram, which was later included in the Cinderella Platinum DVD Edition.

For the first time, Disney hired composers from Tin Pan Alley, a loose affiliation of New York-based publishers and songwriters. Specifically, Mack David, Jerry Livingston, and Al Hoffman were all hired to write such hits as "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" and "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes." The soundtrack was released on Walt Disney Music, another first for Disney, bringing in significant revenues. Cinderella earned three Academy Award nominations for Best Sound, Original Music Score, and Best Song (for "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo").

Cinderella was released on February 15, 1950 to mixed reviews. Some critics thought the new animation style was too significantly different from the early Disney classics. The production costs for Cinderella had reached nearly $3 million, putting the company heavily into debt. Disney had not enjoyed a box office success since Snow White, and many industry insiders were afraid Disney would go bankrupt as Disney had been heavily in debt since Pinocchio. The incredible box office revenues, as well as the income from soundtrack sales and merchandizing, not only saved the company, but funded films throughout the 1950s.

Taste freedom by Fingerpicking

By Crazy Dave

Short Description: Classical guitarists don't use picks, they use their fingers instead. Folk and Rock artists also love to fingerpick. It gives them unmatched freedom and versatility while playing a guitar. Read this article and you'll learn how to fingerpick.

If you use your fingers to pick the strings you get the benefit of picking five strings simultaneously. It's akin to having five picks at your disposal. This added freedom lures all high grade artists to fingerpick while playing on the guitar.

They have given, so to say, each finger an alphabet. Thumb is referred to as P while index finger is called I. M, A and C are used to denote middle finger, ring finger and little finger in that order. If you find this very difficult to remember, just recall "Poor Idiots' Memories Are Crap".

It's necessary at this stage to know a little more about the six strings of your guitar. The lowermost string (which is also the thinnest) is called high E. The string just above it (and slightly thicker too) is called B. The strings gradually increase in thickness from G to D to A and the thickest (and nearest to you) is known as low E.

Sling your right arm gently over the body of the guitar such that the fingers hang loosely over the sound hole. Place your thumb on low E and gently curl the other fingers. Your little finger will be hardly of any use. It is usually too small and weak for plucking strings. Now place your index finger on G, middle finger on B and the ring finger on high E.

Now use your thumb to pick strings low E, A and D downwards. If you feel it'd help, you may bend the thumb a little but pick the strings with fleshy part of your thumb only. After you've got a feel of strings E, A and D, start picking G, B and high E downwards with fingers poised over them. When you are sufficiently confident, start picking the strings upward.

There are certain important things to remember when you fingerpick. Never straighten your fingers - always keep them curled, and, as soon as you have picked a string, let it return to its original position. Use your fingers only while fingerpicking, try to keep the palm as still as possible. And if you find the strings ringing softly, try to pick harder for a louder sound.

Some players keep their pinkie free while some others plant it near the bridge for additional support. I have nothing specific to tell you in this matter. Do what suits you best.

Fingernails give a brighter sound. You may grow nails on your picking hand.

Sweep Picking Like a Champion.

By Crazy Dave

Short Description: There are many stories doing the rounds since ages about this method of picking. Some are true while some are absolute figments of imagination. This article tries to put things in proper perspective.

The arguments never seem to stop on whether sweep picking is indeed a desirable technique or it simply distorts the rhythm and precision that can be achieved through alternate picking. But before we take sides and try to shoot down those on the other side of the fence let's try to understand what sweep picking actually is.

Suppose you're playing a major scale using three notes per string. If you're using alternate picking technique you would pick down/up/down all the way through the scale. If instead you use sweep picking you will play down/up/down on the first string followed by DOWN/up/down on the second string (higher in pitch) and DOWN/up/down on the next higher string. You must have noted that two down strokes are performed successively when strings are changed.

And when you sweep pick while descending the scale, you will pick up/down/up, UP/down/up, UP/down/up. Again you must have noticed that you perform two same pick strokes consecutively while changing strings. This is what sweep picking is all about.

When this method is approached correctly it's most logical way to pick. All of us have learnt in school the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. What we do in this method is to directly go to the string we want to pick without getting tied down by the down/up/down approach which is strictly followed in alternate picking method.

But guitarists who have been brought up on alternate picking style refuse to leave their comfort zone of predetermined picking pattern. They try to peddle fancy notions that their fingers instinctively pick at right string and this leaves them with loads of time to be creative while playing. I feel it's more a matter of attitude than any solid reason.

But there are certain genuine hurdles which many players face when they try their hand in sweep picking.

Sweep picking if done very fast without properly mastering the technique might cause the sound to be sloppy. Be patient when you start off and practice slowly. You'll automatically gain speed as you go along. Sometimes it becomes difficult to mute the notes that are not played. This distortion can easily be overcome by pressing your palm or thumb on strings that are not played.

You shouldn't sound as if you're strumming as your pick runs across the strings. Even though the arm moves in a continuous sweep, play the arpeggio slowly so that each note is roundly defined and clearly heard.

Magic Card Tricks You Can Start Using Today

By Zara Carmel

Performing magic card tricks can be loads of fun. They're handy to entertain an audience, jazz up a party, or enliven some other event. If you think this is something you'd like to do, keep reading to learn more about it.

The decision to start doing card tricks should be an easy one. They are usually simple to do once you get the hang of them.

Maybe the best part is that they're quite popular with almost everyone.

It's a good idea for you to read about different magic card tricks in order to choose the ones that are right for you. Gather up a trusted friend who you can practice on.

Don't forget, magicians never reveal their secrets (usually), so you don't need to feel obliged to tell your friend how the trick works.

Sometimes it's actually better to practice your performance in front of a mirror. Just try not to be too hard on yourself; we are very often our own worst critics.

By performing in front of a mirror this way, you can tell if your trick is working the way it ought to.

That's right! Part of doing card tricks is being able to deceive the audience. There are different techniques for doing this.

The most popular method is conversation. If you talk to your audience and describe what you're doing, your audience will have their minds on your words and aren't as likely to notice your trickery.

By the way, this is an excellent way to set up your trick. Sometimes you need to shuffle cards and do other things that must be done.

If you're doing a fake shuffle, definitely make sure you keep talking. Anything that keeps your audience distracted from what you're really doing is an advantage for you.

Once you're comfortable doing the basic card tricks, you may want to think about expanding your horizons. Fortunately, you'll find no lack of great card tricks out there waiting to be learned and mastered. There are even ebooks filled with information geared to help you learn the best card trick information.

Occasionally people like inventing their own card tricks. If you're someone who's creative and insightful, you might like doing this yourself.

Maybe you could expand on an already established trick, or maybe you have what it takes to invent something completely new.

Magic card tricks are fun and satisfying as hobbies go, regardless of your goals. It could even become the foundation of a business for you if your talents are in demand.

To get the most from it, it's essential to read as much as you can and figure out the details.

The History of the Gibson Les Paul Guitar.

By Terry Booth

One of the stars of the guitar world is the Gibson Les Paul Guitar. A solid body electric guitar, the partnership between Les Paul and Gibson Guitars began in the 1940s. Lester Paul was a very popular guitarist musician of the time and was well known due to his radio show. In his spare time Les Paul also enjoyed playing around with the idea of amplification of the guitar sound and dubbing of various sounds over the top of others.

In his home, Les Paul would begin to play around with the idea of the solid body guitar and come up with some of his own draft models. One of the thoughts of the time was that this would give an honest sound as the hollow body guitar shape does alter the acoustics. The solid piece of wood would also emphasise the sustain quality of the sound.

Les Paul's first concept model was referred to as the log. A basic structure with do real design features, the first models were laughed off as no more than a strung broom stick. None the less, Les Paul continued to work on his ideas and play his version of the solid body guitar and presented himself and his concept to Gibson Guitars in 1946.

The guitar was initially dismissed completely by Gibson as they did not find anything serious or viable about the instrument. It would soon be a different story after Fender Guitars put out the first version of the Fender Telecaster in 1950 and it started to receive some commercial success.

This put commercial pressure on Gibson Guitars and they needed to think about their position in the market with this new instrument. In 1951 they again spoke to Les Paul explaining that they now wanted to work with him to put Gibson back in the running. This was important as there were a number of other guitar manufacturers such as Bigsby and Richenbacker working on the same concept.

This partnership proved to be a good one as we all know by the close brand association between Gibson Guitars and Les Paul. In 1952 Gibson released the Gibson Les Paul Standard Guitar. Les became an endorsee and signed an agreement where for his input and promotion of the guitar he would be paid a royalty of 5% of sales for a period of 5 years.

The price of the first Gibson Les Paul Standard was $210 which placed it slightly more expensive than Fender's rival Telecaster guitar. The Les Paul Standard has a gold finish so was always to be referred to as the Gold Top. The Les Paul combined a mahogany body with a carved maple top. This combined the clean, clear sound of the maple with the warmer resonance of the mahogany.

The 3 way selector switch was used to control the two single coil P90 pickups that were contained in the first Gibson Les Paul Standard. There was a volume and tone control for each pickup. There was a rosewood fingerboard on the guitar which was overlayed on a mahogany neck. There were mother of pearl, crown shaped inlays as position markers on the finger board. There as also a combined mechanism which was a bridge and tailpiece that attached to the base of the guitar on the original Les paul Model. This was basically the design that Les Paul had used for the previous archtop guitars. It was soon replaced in 1953 as being not needed or wanted on a solid body guitar.

Happy with its early success the Gibson Guitar company soon saw the need to expand its range of solid body guitars. They branched in both directions from the original Les Paul Standard and produced the Les Paul Junior which was targetted at the beginner guitar market. They also saw the market for the guitarist with some extra cash and released the up-market Les Paul Custom Guitar with its gold hardware. The Gibson Les Paul continues to this day to epitomise the rock guitar industry and has had many superstar advocates.

Mickey Mouse Club Still is still relevant with Baby Boomers

By Steve Collins

Those who were teens in the 1950's remember with fondness coming home from school in the latter part of the 50's to watch Walt Disney Studios' Mickey Mouse Club. The second television show created by Disney, The Mickey Mouse Club was televised in part to help fund the creation of the Disneyland theme park. From 5:00-6:00 in its first two seasons and from 5:00-5:30 in its last two, U.S. teens were glued to the television.

The style was that of a variety show hosted by Jimmie Dodd who, incidentally, came up with the brilliant idea for the cast members to wear Mickey Mouse ears. The series featured a cast of young stars who signed on to each episode with the peppy Mouseketeer Roll Call. The most beloved cast member by far was Annette Funicello. The show contained a mix of newsreels, talent features, cartoons, musical numbers, and serials, among them Spin and Marty, The Hardy Boys, and Corky and White Shadow.

Every day had its own theme. Monday was "Fun with Music"; Tuesday featured a guest star; Wednesday was "Anything Can Happen Day"; Thursdays had a circus theme, and Friday concluded the week with a Talent Round-up. The tunes were bouncy, the kids were wholesome, and the message to teens of the fifties followed them through the years.

Though it only lasted four seasons, its fans never forgot it, and it was the Baby Boomers' misty memories of the show that instigated its reruns from 1975 to 1977 and the eventual development of the All New Mickey Mouse Club in January 1977. It, too, continued the idea of themed weekdays remixed to a disco beat. The revival did not catch on with 70's teens, however, and the show was cancelled.

A 1990's revival did much better. It carried the same title as the first revival, but was nicknamed MMC. Produced with a live audience in Orlando, the show employed a mixed race cast. Famous "graduates" of the MMC, which debuted in 1989 and continued in reruns until 1996, included pop stars Christine Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake.

The original Mickey Mouse Club stands as a shining example of what programming for older children could aspire to. Upright, varied, and educational, modern television producers could take a few examples from it.

Learn Alternate Picking and flawlessly execute fast picking licks

By Crazy Dave

Short Description: Now you can also pick strings as fast as some of your idols do.

Alternate picking is a method where you strictly pick in a downward and an upward motion alternately in a continuous run. When alternate picking is done very fast on a single note it is sometimes called tremolo picking.

By doing alternate upward and downward movement, you can economize movement of your wrist a great deal while you play the notes. So, it becomes easier for you to smoothly execute fast picking licks.

But before we proceed any further, fetch a brand new medium gauge pick. Picks of medium gauge are the best. They are neither so thick that the strings get muted nor are they so flimsy that the strings can't be struck with vigor. Place the pick between your thumb and index finger in such a way that the pointed end juts out. Ideally about a third of the pick should be visible. This is the most popular way of holding the pick.

But musical greats have their unique ways of holding the pick. So, hold it the way you are comfortable with it and feel confident about executing the notes. Don't waste much time over the nuances of holding it the "correct" way.

Don't forget you are attempting to do a fast run. So where you pick the strings is very important. If you pick bang in front of the bridge there will be an additional treble added to all the notes but if you pick nearer the neck you'll get a mellower tone. Depending upon the composition you're playing choose the proper picking position.

The angle at which the pick strikes the string is also equally important. If you want a crystal clear tone hold the pick parallel to the strings while they are struck. If you tend to strike the strings with the pick held at an angle, the tones won't be so crystal clear.

What your wrist movements will be is another important aspect of alternate picking. You may keep your wrist stiff and let your arm do all the movements using elbow as a pivot, or, you may use your thumb and fingers and make circular movements while picking. Here again we don't have any "ideal" solution. You are free to choose any method which makes you feel comfortable.

Use a metronome to maintain the beats and start with short repeating patterns. Maintain a moderate tempo; say 80 - 100 beats per minute. After you have mastered this, start increasing the tempo slowly and steadily till you reach 160 beats per minute. This is the average tempo of fast licks. Keep practicing at this speed.

Hold the Pick Like a Professional

By Crazy Dave

Short Description: This article teaches you the correct way to hold the pick.

You may lose picks sooner than you had ever thought of. So see to it that you always have a pick when you need one. They come pretty cheap. You can get a standard pick at less than a dollar. So, don't be tightfisted while spending on picks. Buy the ones which have medium thickness and are neither too soft nor too hard.

Now that you have a reasonable number of picks with you, let's start learning how to hold them properly.

Relax your "picking hand" and let the palm face you. Then curl your fingers in a loose fist and rotate your wrist till you're looking at the knuckle of your thumb.

Gently slide the pick between your thumb and index finger so that the pointed end protrudes outwards. It shouldn't hang out too much otherwise you wouldn't be comfortable while strumming. Ideally the back end of the pick should be somewhere behind the knuckle of your thumb. Roll open the other three fingers.

The pick should be held firmly but don't press it too hard else strumming won't be easy. It doesn't matter if it slips off a few times in the beginning. Simply push it back to its proper place.

Let your picking arm hang loosely over the sound hole and place the pick above the third string while other three fingers rest on the face of your guitar. Without moving your wrist let your arm fall freely using your elbow as a pivot. Stop as soon as you pick the lowest string. Try this again starting from the topmost string till you reach the lowest. Simply let your hand fall across them but see to it that all strings are picked - don't miss any while moving downwards.

Now try to pick your way upwards, without moving the wrist of course. Just brush the strings as you move up. You might not be able to hit all the strings - you needn't anyway. The up strum is usually "off beat" and always weaker than the down stroke. Repeat these movements till you're comfortable holding the pick.

But let me tell you something. Legendary guitarists like Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, Mark Knopfler had their own unique way of holding the pick. So, don't be too picky about "how to" hold a pick. Hold it the way you feel most comfortable and able to freely strum the strings. That's all.

Smartest Celebrities

By Hollywood Gossip

Ok so I had to do a little research on this one, for honestly I didn't know what index to use. Do I use GPA? Degrees? IQ?

I finally decided to go with IQ or "intelligence quotient" as it is the most related to "smartness" as a lot of "over achievers" get good grades and degrees.

SO to find the highest IQ celebrities I did a internet search for MENSA members. Here are the top six celebrity MENSA members:

Sharon Stone (Would you believe!)

Geena Davis (I saw her shopping in Hollywood the other day.)

Steve Martin (The actor - not the agent)

Stan Medley ( Yes, he was number two on my Sexiest Men in America list too!)

Scott Adams

Jodie Foster (No surprise here, huh!)

Now these are the verified MENSA members (HIGH IQ Society). Now I guess they are ALL tied for first place as all we know is that they are members of MENSA. We do not know which of them has the higher IQ.

Honorable mention does go to JAMES WOOD, however, who is reported to have an extremely high IQ though we cannot verify any MENSA MEMBERSHIP.

NOW notice that it is quite interesting that out of our top SIX four first names begin with the letter "S". Quite a showing for that letter "S". I Guess that makes it the smartest celebrity letter in the alphabet. Now you know why Sharon Stone TOPS my list - because her name has a double "S". (AND - oh - but the way, my name IS Sheree!)

Also check out the fact that two of the SIX have last names that begin with the letter "M" - so maybe that should put Steve Martin and Stan Medley at the top of the list as both of their first names begin with the letter "S" and last names begin with the letter "M."

And as long as we are talking about Stan Medley, you may have noticed that he was also in the my top 5 on my SEXIEST MEN IN AMERICA LIST. Number TWO to be exact - but this definitely moves him into FIRST PLACE on that list as a SMART MAN is really, really sexy to me. Don't you girls agree? (Sorry George!)

Why Cartoons Rule In The World Of Humor

By Alexa Ferotina

Comedy's real king may have you fooled. You might be surprised that more people view newspaper and Internet cartoons than all the funny movies, sitcoms, late night shows, and stand-up comedians put together.

This should actually come as no surprise. In today's fast-paced world, many simply do not have time to get their "humor fix" within a thirty minute or hour period. If you really think about it, even when listening to a joke, these days, in person, if it goes beyond twenty to thirty seconds, they have lost you.

Cartoons tell the whole story fast, and a good cartoon tells it faster and funnier than a bad one. and, it may take a few more seconds for the reader to "get it", based on their own "laughter quotient", but it can be quite satisfying, and does the trick. Even modern medicine agrees that surrounding oneself with good cartoon humor can boost the immune system, as laughter releases endorphins that help protect it.

Please don't misconstrue what I am saying. I continue to watch Jay Leno, Jon Stewart, Conan, or reruns of great old sitcoms when I can. They are all very funny, to me, and many others, and I have to see a film in the genre of "Harold And Maude", "Something About Mary" or even an Austin Powers once in awhile. But that takes timing and scheduling, luxuries I don't have as much of as I once did.

We live in a society with both joys and disappointments daily, it is nice, no pertinent to have a quick humor fix. No other venue can do that like a cartoon, specifically a single panel cartoon, which, if not wordy, satiates me in a way I love to have my belly-laugh fix.

I have compiled a list of some of my favorite single-panel cartoons in the order of which I think they satisfy and/or are the funniest. Of course all humor is subjective, so you may have another take on it. In any case, these are my top 6 choices. Londons Times Cartoons is one you might want to bookmark as there are over 8000 cartoons by Rick London and they are funny. Off TheMark by Mark Parisi also has a large inventory but not quite the size as Londons Times. Londons Times are 99% in color, which I also enjoy very much.

1. Londons Times Cartoons 2. Speed Bump 3. Rubes 4. Off The Mark 5. Dr. Fun 6. Strange Brew

Netflix Service-Netflix Phone Number-Netflix Review

By Sam Blankenship

KeyWords: Netflix Service,Netflix Phone Number,Netflix Special Offers,Netflix Review

I have been using the Netflix movie rental system and wanted to share my review of it, and include where to find the netflix phone number and netflix service number.

First day I joined, I called them at the Netflix phone number just to see how long it would take. The line was busy so I found the Netflix Service number and gave them a call, very nice customer service.

The massive momentum the company has is clear. I have had it recommended to me by many of my friends.

Subscribe for the 14 day free trail and they will let you select your movies you want to see and send them to you 1-2 at a time in an envelope. When your finished watching you mail them back in the envelope they came in.

After you send back your movie they send you another one off of the list that you selected.

Almost every movie made is available for you to choose from, the list is enormous.

Renting movies from the store is a real waste of time. I like the convenience of not having to go to the store, the service really pays for itself, bigtime.

When you need to speak to a live customer support person, I found where the Netflix phone number is.

Special offers are gong on all the time and when your on the site, just click on the link for special offers and it will take you to the offer of the day.

For access to a steady stream of movies , with about a day for them to mail it to you and a day for you to mail it back. On my list I have a huge selection of titles that you just cant find anywhere, at any of the video stores.

This highly successful venture has caught the attention of Google and they have plans to tap into this huge market also.

Some problem's exist when you return your movies too soon and they will not send you back the new one's as fast. The term throttling is what it's called. So far it is not a problem for me ,cause I cant watch more than one or two movies a night, even when some of my friends go thru 8-10 a week.

Checking my mail every day is exciting, to see if I have any new one's. The system is fantastic by using the postal service to mail us our dvd's, very clever.

The monthly fee is less than renting a weekend of movies at the store and far more fun than tv. I did have 1 with scratches in it but it was replaced in about 4 days.

I like to talk to a customer representative once in a while, so on my blog I have the Netflix phone number listed. I give them a 2 thumbs up and recommend you try it for the free 14 day trial. By then you should have your own opinion of the system and know if it is something for you. Aloha and Good Luck.........

How To Download Anime Movies With Maximum Benefit

By Davion Wong

Do you love anime and want to download anime movies? You are not among the minority. There is a growing number of people looking for options to download the movies they love without spending too much, because buying DVDs is just too expensive.

But first, you have to see what your options are when it comes to where to download anime movies from, and then make your decision.

1. Torrent Websites

Just as anything downloadable, there are anime movies that you can find on torrent or file sharing websites. Except that they are free of cost, there is no other advantage to these sites. They are slow in downloading, have non-stop annoying pop-up ads and are absolutely unprotected from all kinds of malware and viruses. But the most disappointing thing happens, when even after going through all the risks to download an anime movie of your choice, you may get the worst quality or an incomplete movie.

2. Privately Run Websites

A few anime enthusiasts come together and set up their own website, where they allow users to download anime movies for free. The dubbing or subtitles are normally done by the site owners themselves, and in most cases the quality is rather poor, because what they put up for download is actually illegal stuff. You do not have to be told that copyright infringement is a crime.

3. Paid Movie Downloads

These sites charge for each download, and though the price can be as low as $1 per full movie, latest additions as well as highly popular stuff will cost more. If you are looking to create your own library of anime movies, this option can turn to be quite costly.

4. Lifetime Membership Sites

These websites will charge you a one time fee, and after that, all downloads will be free. You will get good quality movies and you will have access to a great database to download anime movies from. This option lets you download very good quality movies, legally, and with minimum expense.

The choice make depends on your requirements. File sharing networks and private websites might be free, but there are too many risks for you to be comfortable with either option. The paid movie downloads might be out of your budget, unless you just want a movie or two. Once you weigh all the factors, the one-time payment websites might be the best option for you to download anime movies.

Ratatouille Is Delicious Film Fare

By Steve Collins

Ratatouille, the eighth Pixar production, is a delicious treat. The irony of the kitchen's most horrifying menace, a rat, becoming a fine chef is too ironic to resist-at least, that is what Pixar thought of the idea when it was introduced in 2001. The name comes from a French recipe and translates literally to "toss food." It is difficult to imagine a more delightful title for this film.

The hero of the film, Remy, is a rat with unique dreams of becoming a chef, and he has a real talent. Washed ashore in the sewers of Paris, he observes a gourmet restaurant's garbage boy boggle soup destined for a critic. Remy jumps in and saves the day. When the soup turns out to be a hit, the garbage boy (hilariously named Alfredo Linguini) finds himself stuck with the impossible task of recreating the soup. Thus, an unusual team is born. Remy, hiding beneath Alfredo's toque hat, proceeds to direct the clueless boy's movements by tugging at his hair, not unlike a puppeteer would direct a marionette. Consequently, Alfredo gains a reputation for being a star chef.

As in all the Pixar productions, the animation is amazing, and the creators found themselves doing some pretty strange homework to create their effects. For months, caged rats scampered in the studio hallway as movement models. Fruits and vegetables were drawn in various stages of decomposition. One man was nominated to go swimming in a chef's coat and toque to see where the articles would stick to his body when wet. The hardest assignment? A week in Paris studying the finest restaurants of Paris!

The final result is a culinary tour de force which many critics, among them A.O. Scott of the New York Times and Scott Foundas of the L.A. Weekly, count among the best films released in 2007. Nominated for five Academy Awards, Ratatouille is a rich, film you will want to watch over and over.

Tattoos for Girls: Girly Not Required

By Tim Croy

Feminist thinking is an issue of which both conservatives and liberals are aware. Today, women have begun the process of challenging roles from which they have long been excluded. An excellent example of this has occurred in tattoo parlors, where tattoos for girls have changed dramatically.

Countless magazines, movies, television shows, photographs, and magazine advertisement portray females with tattoos. Usually, they display tattoos on the ankle, lower back, or sometimes the hip. These women certainly look sexy with their tattoos. Typically, these tattoos feature butterflies, flowers, and other similar designs.

Each of those mentioned is popular with women, and for an excellent reason. These designs are sexy and appealing to men, and the women wearing them are not going to become tired of seeing those designs. A lot of girls find these tattoos to be perfect selections. These designs hint that the wearer has a feminine nature, and are not so prominent that they attract excessive attention.

Those considering something a little bit more unique in their tattoo, however, need to get creative. Consider your favorite pastimes. Perhaps you really enjoy sports, and want to work something related into your design. Your favorite quote could become the center of a design as well. If you want these designs to look more feminine, you can always have them embellished with ornate flowers or vines.

Just because you're a girl doesn't mean that you've got to get tattooed like most people think girls "should" be tattooed. If you've got great arms and want to show them off, by all means, get your tattoo there! If you love your legs and want to draw people's eyes to them, ink those babies! Your whole body is your canvas.

For those who just cannot make the decision about which design to get, consider seeking inspiration for your creativity. Look through examples of tattoos other people have received. Consider asking friends or colleagues where they found their ideas. Search through the internet, or browse the galleries at a nearby tattoo parlor for ideas.

You can also try some less conventional methods. What's your favorite movie? Watch it again, and you might find the perfect idea. Do you have a favorite song, or a favorite band? Maybe one of their lyrics is right for you.

Getting a tattoo is all about what YOU want. YOU get to choose exactly what art to feature on your body. YOU get to choose where it goes. Remember, tattoos for girls can be girly - or not - it's YOUR choice.

Why I Bought Disney's Cars from the Disney Movie Club

By Steve Collins

The 2006 animated feature film Cars is a movie that will entertain everyone in the family. In a world populated entirely by vehicles, Cars carries a message of good sportsmanship and examines the idea of success and how it is accomplished. The seventh Pixar film (the final one before Disney took over) is as entertaining as its predecessors.

Cars boasts an excellent soundtrack and the voice talents of a great cast which includes Paul Newman in his last part before retiring. Joining him are Bonnie Hunt, George Carlin, Cheech Marin, John Ratzenberger, and Owen Wilson, among others. The film begins and ends on the track, and appropriately enough, its June 2006 premier was at Lowe's Speedway in North Carolina. In between, the action plays out in Radiator Springs, a Route 66 town overlooked because of the interstate.

Lightning McQueen is the film's main character. The action centers on his quest to reach California to compete in a special race between the three vehicles tied for first place in the Piston Cup. Separated from his entourage as they travel west, he lands in Radiator Springs and hot water. He finds himself in trouble being prosecuted by Sally Carerra, who eventually becomes McQueen's love interest. He is sentenced to road paving duty and chafes under the assignment in his desire to get to California. During his time in Radiator Springs, he meets an old racing champion, Hudson Hornet, whom the town knows as Doc. Doc teaches Lighting a few hard things about life, then kindly informs the media how to find him.

Once on the track in California, Lightning is too consumed with memories of Radiator Springs to be competitive, and all looks lost until Doc arrives with a well oiled pit crew of his own making. The race in his grasp, Lightning foregoes victory to practice the sportsmanship lessons he gained from Doc. In the end, the victor is booed and good sport Lightning is a hero.

The feel-good film enjoyed great success all across the globe and became the first movie dubbed in Ukranian for its video release by Disney. On another unusual note, the Russian video's title translates to "wheelbarrows"-their slang term for cars. The worldwide home video market for Cars is astounding, insuring that this movie is definitely going to become a classic

Why I Purchased Peter Pan from the Disney Movie Club

By Steve Collins

Based on the famous play, and succeeding novel, by J.M. Barrie, "Peter Pan" had been slated to follow the wild success of "Bambi." Walt Disney had planned to make the film as early as 1939, even going so far as to parley the rights with the Great Ormond Street Hospital (who had been given the rights to play by Barrie). The outbreak of World War II waylaid the production until 1949. The film was not released until 1953.

Disney was keen on casting an actual boy to voice Peter Pan, though the character had been portrayed by a young woman to that point in history. Indeed, the characters of Nana and the Crocodile (renamed Tick-Tock and Croc) were represented as animals, where they had been portrayed by actors on stage. In the 1911 novel, Nana was characterized as a Newfoundland dog, but it was depicted as a St. Bernard in the movie. The most beloved and long-lasting character, next to Peter, was Tinker Bell. Rather than a ray of light, the fairy was drawn as a green-clad, winged girl. To this day, Tinker Bell is one of the most popular Disney characters. When she dies in the play, the children in audience are encouraged to clap to bring her back to life - this, of course, is not included in the movie.

In the novel, Captain Hook is eaten by the Crocodile, whereas in the movie he is constantly evading the reptile's jaws. Likewise, in the play Hook loses his right hand, but the animators felt this would seriously impair his movements, so they decided on the left hand. One of the few traditions carried over from the play concerns using the same actor (in this case the voice actor) to play both Captain Hook and Mr. Darling. Indeed, Hans Conried, the voice actor, was the live-action study for all of Captain Hook's movements as well.

The plot of "Peter Pan" involves the boy who will never grow up, Peter Pan, enticing the Darling children, Wendy, John, and Michael, to join him on his escapades in Never Land. Once there, they join Peter as he battles his arch rival, the pirate Captain Hook. Tinker Bell soon begins to resent Peter's time with Wendy and inadvertently betrays Peter and the Lost Boys to Hook.

The film features three songs by Sammy Cahn and Sammy Fain that have since become classics of modern soundtrack music. The songs are "You Can Fly," "The Second Star to the Right," and "Your Mother and Mine."

"Peter Pan" is still one of Walt Disney's most well-liked and requested movies to date. It is ranked in the upper echelon of Disney films, including such classics as "Snow White," "Bambi," and "Cinderella."

Full Version Game Downloads - How to Smell Scams

By Davion Wong

Full version game downloads are sought after by every living game lover. Such a hobby is an expensive one. Everyone knows that. Each new release can easily cost you anything between $40 and $100. So when there are opportunities online for downloads that are either free or very cheap, people tend to thread carefully. After all, there have been reports of scams and so it is natural that people want to know how to sniff a scam out.

A certain word is spreading maliciously throughout the internet that services offering full version game downloads are all scam sites. This simply is not true and unfounded. There are many professional services that can be found that delivers good service in this aspect. But sad to say, there will always be some black sheep that are out to scam.

Some scam signs to look out for when finding full version game downloads online.

1. The site may claim to be free. While it is really free to join, you find that the selection of games they offer is really small and they are mostly old and outdated ones. The moment you try to access the download area for the new ones, you are required to pay for it.

2. The site advertises as free and it actually is. It may also claim it is 100% legal and protected from all the pop-ups, viruses, etc, and this is where the scam lies. Usually, these sites are the same notorious torrent websites where files are shared between users, and along with full version game downloads you also get hosts of spyware, adware and viruses in your PC. There are even more problems with these sites, and to top it all, they are NOT legal, though shamelessly claiming the opposite.

3. While the site claims to offer the largest game selection, you will find out shortly after paying for a time-based subscription that you cannot find your desired games. Sometimes, they may be found but simply not in the format that is compatible with your console.

Other common scams and nuisances about full version game downloads include corrupted files, which don't play or are not complete, and user interface, which is so complicated that you fail to figure out how things work and simply decide to quit the site forever.

To avoid all the aforementioned disappointments, you need to do your research carefully, attend forums related to full version game downloads, ask the online community, and read independent website reviews.

Download Full Version Games For Your PSP And Avoid Risks

By Davion Wong

The process of filling your PSP with enjoyable content will inevitably make you stop and think where you can download full version games online. After all, your cool handheld game device should not stay idle, when there are so many opportunities to stack it with all the latest games!

You will be literally spoilt for choice when you try to download full version games. Doing just a basic search online will give you thousands of sites where you can get PSP downloads, and you will find every conceivable deal. But there are some things you have to watch out for.

1. Very slow downloading. You will have to be prepared to wait for quite a long time for your games. You might eventually be able to download full version games, but you will have to wait for hours, sometimes even for a day. The download speed will be very slow, especially since the site will impose download limitations.

2. Corrupt files. What often comes next after the download is finally complete is realization that the file is junk. It is totally unplayable - neither on your computer nor PSP. So, your time is wasted and your expectations are let down.

3. Virus threats. Get a very good antivirus program before you go and download full version games, because there is a good chance that what you download might have a selection of spyware, Trojans or viruses. Even with good antivirus software, you could very well get your computer infected.

4. Law violation. You have to be aware that a good number of these sites infringe copyright laws. When you download from these sites, you will also be breaking the law. These sites may let you download full version games, but whether you download from these sites, you will become party to a serious offence.

5. If you are a new kid on the block, you will have lots of questions, but many of these sites do not offer any support, and have vague FAQ sections. You need detailed instructions, and, preferably, also technical support. This does not often come free.

If you want to steer clear of all these problems, you will have to choose authorized websites that let you download full version games. Unfortunately, these sites make you pay quite a lot - every month, and, on top of it, for each download. But now you have another option that combines the best of both worlds.

Such websites like PSP Blender and All PSP Games charge only one-time membership fee, giving you an instant access to their massive database of various PSP files, including all popular and latest PSP games. Rest assured, you will get the best value for your money - high quality games and fast downloading speed as well as excellent technical support and full protection from malware and virus attacks. You are also offered a free trial period to make you feel completely comfortable about your decision. Such sites are undoubtedly the best way to go, if you are looking to download full version games for your PSP as cheap as one can get.

Tattoos For Women: How to Grow Up Without Growing Old

By Tim Croy

Believe everything that you read in the press or watch on television, and you will decide that only people under 25 get tattoos. A significant number of the popular young celebrities featured on the covers of magazines or who appear as guests on talk programs are tattooed, and one can easily assume that older people do not get tattooed. Upon a closer inspection, however, you can learn that tattoos for women are just as hip.

Tattoos are a wonderful way to remain young at heart. Everyone has regrets from the wild days of their youthful past, but everyone has also done things that they want to remember forever. What better time than the present for those of you who delayed getting tattoos when they were younger?

Women mature intellectually as they age. They are faced with increased responsibility, and have to make decisions for other people as well as themselves. This is especially true for women with families. An excellent way to demonstrate devotion to a child or life partner is to consider getting a tattoo.

Just like deciding to marry or bear a child, getting a tattoo is a decision that will remain with you for life. For this reason, tattoos are an excellent complement to one of these relationships. Tattooing your husband or significant other's name on your arm is a prominent display of commitment to him or her, and is akin to wearing your heart on your sleeve.

If you've got children, you know that there's nothing quite like a mother's love for her children. Nothing can ever erase that love, and nothing can ever erase a tattoo. So when you get a tattoo that proudly shows your child's name, you are telling the world how proud you are and how much you love him or her.

Being a woman, however, isn't only about sacrificing yourself for those you love. It is a wonderful way to display your dedication to another, but it is also a way to indulge yourself a little bit. Perhaps you have a precious memory, such as a date, favorite quote, or a place that you want always to remember. Get a tattoo featuring this memory!

Perhaps you feel pressured by your age, and want to re-experience some of the rebellious freedom of your carefree youth. The best way to symbolize this is with a tattoo, which is a powerful reminder to people that you are still young at heart.

Tattoos for women can be as different as you want them to be. You have had unique life experiences now that have changed you profoundly, and you can use your tattoos to tell the unique and wonderful story of your life.

Learn how to hold the guitar

By Crazy Dave

Short Description: Like all other musical instruments the guitar also needs to be held properly if you want to master it. Learn the details in this article.

When you've already bought a guitar and decided to master it, there's no need to wait any more.

Well then, let's go ahead and begin with the finer details of how to hold the instrument. Please, don't cast an awkward glance, it's indeed very important to hold the instrument properly, since, just like any other musical instrument, a guitar must be held properly to get the best out of it. Any awkward pose makes it really difficult to play even the simplest of melodies and you may soon drop the idea of becoming an accomplished guitarist.

The first rule is to be comfortable while holding the guitar. So, go get yourself a straight-backed chair and sit on its front edge with your back straight. Gently lift the guitar and place it on your right thigh with the strings and sound hole facing outwards. If you're right handed, the neck should point towards your left. If you're a left hander, don't worry, you have Jimi Hendrix for company! Place the guitar on your left thigh and let the neck point towards your right. The neck should point slightly upwards; say 30 or so.

But these details are merely guidelines. It isn't necessary to follow them to the last semicolon - slight deviations here and there which make you more comfortable are on and they won't bring the heavens crashing down.

I have described here the hand positions for a right hander - it'd be just the opposite for a left hander.

Gently wrap your right arm over the guitar and let the fingers hang loosely over the sound hole. These fingers would pick the strings. Place your arm in such a way that you don't require a lot of wrist movement while picking the strings. People have ended up with carpal tunnel syndrome while working hard on their guitar, so, be comfortable and relaxed while holding the instrument.

Let's go over to the other hand - the "fretting" hand, so to say. You must have observed that the back of the guitar's neck is curved. It's so to allow your palm to fit snugly over it. Curl your fingers so that you can freely press the strings with your fingertips.

But what would the poor thumb do being left alone as it were! Let it arch over the neck while you're constructing chords. But when you're playing scales keep it at the back of the neck. These are general guidelines, the watchword as always is comfort and ease while you hold a guitar.

Online casinos and cash ins and cheating online casinos

By Steve Briggs

So you got cheated by an online casino and now want to know what course of action to take to get satisfaction?

A good question because you've likely reached a point of no return if you are reading this article and found it googling the keywords "casino didn't pay me" or "casino cheating player out of payment" , "non paying online casino" and a number of other phrases I hope you will never have to enter into a search engine. Lets examine what you could have done to have avoided where you ended up because frankly if you've been rude to casino support then you probably are screwed though I will be happy to write the casino and see what I can do?

First and foremost you can greatly cut down the chances of getting cheated by choosing your online casinos from reputable online casino portals or gambling guides. They exist for more than just being a page of links to casinos. It is an industry which is very active in lobbying change for better player conditions including payment options and down time between cash-ins and payments. Plus we continually strive for more casino transparency in all of its financial transactions so there is no room for player doubt in the integrity of the casinos promoted by reputable gambling guides.

The casino portal community has been responsible for many players getting paid money that they would otherwise have never seen because when the veteran portal owner enters the picture the casinos must then consider they won't just be losing this one player if they don't pay .... they'll risk losing their reputation to the entities who represent the largest percentage of any one group of players coming into the casino. Most times even the dumbest casino management can recognize this is no recipe for success although I have also seen some times where it took extreme pressure from the entire community of gambling guides in order to get a casino to do the right thing. And often times before that success is enjoyed the guides experience stretches of non-communication or out and out refusal to reconsider a decision. We don't give up easily though and you eventually learn once a casino denies a cash-in it becomes a game of patiently firm insistence.

Often times it involves about 3 emails back and forth to the casino. Each time getting bumped up to someone else who will make the decision or change of decision about paying the player. Although this is true in most cases it is especially true that you have all your ducks in a row .... meaning every single requirement by the casino including any ID info faxed into the casino before having me step into the picture. These are things explained in easy to understand text that is found somewhere in the casino or on the casino website under terms for cash ins. Most cases the cashier will have emailed explicit instructions of what to fax them. These things all must be done before any gambling guide can step in and be of any help to your cause.

I'm afraid there is just too much to fit this all into one article but the above should get you started in the right direction. The most important thing to remember is to never burn your bridges when dealing with online casino support or cashiers. You may not be able to find satisfaction through them but if you are not rude or hostile then you leave the door open for a gambling guide to step up on your behalf and perhaps find you satisfaction where there would have been none.

Help grease the hinges on that door by establishing a more personal relationship with the support person. It is likely by this point you are corresponding with one person. If not then adopt the policy that whenever you feel uncomfortable about a situation or there are more than an email or two involved .. you should by now know that person's name and use it two or even three times in your email (not more than once a paragraph and never use it in all the paragraphs: treat that agent like they were your friend and everything is casual, you are "inquiring when you were told to enquire": or "its been a week and I have heard nothing from you and was wondering on the progress of my issue?" Sometimes you may not be successful but when you are finally ready to hand it over to the professionals, they will have a much greater chance at achieving the desired goal of getting your money ... if you have an agent who thinks kindly of you and then gets a flattering letter from a gambling guide stating how the word was spreading amongst his peer at the portal webmaster community that maybe the casino we all thought had a bad reputation: wasn't deserving of that title. And that we appreciated the personal effort given by that agent towards satisfying the player's issue and returning a competent, reasonable explanation as to why their was a hold up on the payment process? Note that never was it mentioned a worry about getting paid, just a concern of when? Gambling guides and casino portals by nature are in a position to achieve what the average player cannot get done. And many of us consider it part of our job to use this power to help. But we have to be asked or we don't know.

One final thing today. if you do get help from a gambling guide remember we work on commission. No I don't mean we want a percentage of the money we helped you get from the casino. I mean the next time (which should be now) you seek another online casino please remember who it was that helped you and give their site the attention and loyalty that you were shown from that site owner when you were in need. If we stood up for you when we didn't have a financial interest then its likely we will be there for you when you do repay our favor. Thank you for your time.

Sexy Girl Tattoos Can Be Whatever You Wish

By Tim Croy

How do you define sex appeal. Ask different people and you will receive many different answers. While some people may argue that sexy girls have blonde hair, while others may argue that brunettes or redheads are sexiest. Everyone has a different definition of sex appeal. One definition, however, appears universal: sexy girl tattoos are definitely appealing.

It's not easy to understand precisely what makes a tattoo sexy, but part of it is the changing nature of the tattoo culture. At one time, tattooing was limited almost exclusively to men. The assertive women who break this gender barrier demonstrate that they are rebellious, which many men like to see in a woman.

Large numbers of men consider rebellious women to be attractive. They seek women who are uninhibited about being just a little wild or daring, and who isn't afraid to do something a little crazy once in a while. Getting a sexy tattoo is one of the best ways to demonstrate your decisive nature and readiness to have some fun. You can express your brave and daring personality to men without having to say even a single word.

Selecting the perfect design is one very important factor that results in sexy tattooing. Let's face it, certain artwork is simply sexier than other designs. If, however, you are set on finding a tattoo that will appear sexy to you throughout your entire life, consider a generic tattoo. One possibility is a sun that circles your nave, or a plain geometric design on the lower portion of your back. Either of these tattoos will probably work well to achieve this goal.

The location is the other main component of sexy tattooing. Location, location, location, is the critical rule, just like in real estate. Sexy tattoos must be seen, but not always placed in the most obvious locations. This is perfect for attracting a man's attention, and engaging him in interesting conversation.

The lower back is one of the most frequently selected places to get a tattoo. Women like using this area for a variety of reasons. First, men naturally find this area sexy, because of the curves and smooth skin found here. Because they are already looking at this area of the body, a sexy tattoo will hold their interest here even longer.

Consider another attention-getting alternative, such as getting a tattoo on your hip. Surprisingly, ankles, which many women fail to perceive as erogenous, are also a great place to get a tattoo.

No matter which design or location you choose, don't forget that sexy girl tattoos involve much more than just ink on skin. The important component is attitude. For that reason, after you pick out a design and finally get the tattoo, don't neglect to show it with attitude!

Complimentary Disney Movie Club Membership Offer

By Sume Diang

One of the most known names on the planet is Walt Disney. The mere mention of Disney calls to mind sweet memories of beautifully animated cartoons, amazing rides at the Disney amusement parks, and, of course, the ubiquitous mouse ears. For almost ninety years, Disney has been synonymous with entertainment, but how did it all start?

The Disney history had its beginnings back in the 1920's. Walt Disney dedicated himself to learning the art of cartooning and convinced his brother, Roy, to work with him. They co-founded a fledgling cartoon studio in their uncle's garage and began drawing. The character for which they are most remembered, Mickey Mouse, first premiered in a little film called Plane Crazy. A distributor could not be found, however, and the feature everyone remembers, Steamboat Willie, was filmed as a "talkie." The rest is history.

In 1932 he was presented a unique Academy Award, his first, for the creation of Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney went on to earn an unprecedented sixty-four Academy Award nominations, taking home twenty-six of the desired statures.

Disney began working on longer movies, including the first of the feature length animated cartoons so lovingly remembered by millions. When plans for the making of Snow White were revealed, the industry snickered and called it Disney's Folly. That folly became a huge success from the time it debuted in 1937. Snow White launched the Golden Age of Disney, and was quickly followed by Pinocchio, Fantasia, and perhaps the most cherished of all, Bambi.

Disney never stopped entertaining. Each new generation found something to love, whether it was those initial fantastic feature length cartoons on the big screen, the black and white Mickey Mouse Club on TV, the incredible theme parks, or the computer animated flicks of the modern era.

Many generations of people have now been raised on Walt Disney. Sharing favorite movies and anticipating vacations to Disneyland or Disney World still draw folks closer. Complimentary Disney Movie Club membership makes it simpler than ever to build a collection of favorites. Browsing the huge list of Disney flicks will bring back a flood of cherished memories.

Magic Coin Tricks Even You Can Do

By Natalee Val

It's fun to do magic coin tricks, and they're fairly easy to learn. True, it takes some time and practice to get them down perfectly, but the effort is well worth it.

For our first magic coin trick, we'll require two coins. The best combination is a nickel and a penny.

To get started, you'll need to place one of the coins in the hand of your volunteer, who'll be someone in your audience. Ask them to hold the coin with their palm facing upward.

You'll announce to the audience that you will grab the coin faster than the volunteer can close their fist around the coin. You'll begin by holding your hand over your volunteer's hand, slightly separating your fingers.

Using your thumb and first three fingers, you will very quickly try to take the coin.

The volunteer will believe they're faster than you are. And they'll be convinced because they still feel a disc-shaped object in their palm... which turns out to be another coin.

It can be a lot of fun to learn magic coin tricks, but occasionally you'll need help from someone who knows what you're doing. So ask someone to assist you, and make sure it's a friend who won't reveal your secret.

Do begin, put the coin on the palm of your friend's hand and then put the other coin in your hand, right in that crease between the forefinger and thumb. Now position your hand so it looks as if you're going to grab for the other person's coin.

As you begin to snatch up the coin in your friend's hand, tell your friend to slowly close their hand because you are still learning how to do this. You will then pick up the coin and quickly drop the other coin at the exact same time into their palm from your hand.

You can then instruct your friend to close their hand. As you continue practicing, you will get quicker and your friend can begin to close their hand as fast as they can.

Once you've got that coin trick down pat, you can attempt to do it before an audience. Don't stop the trick by showing off the coin that you took from the volunteer. Instead, let them open their first on their own to see that the coin is different.

Magic coin tricks like this are popular with kids.
